Everything in the universe is vibration / frequency ( Hz ) , matter is vibration, energy is vibration, light is vibration, sound is vibration, so it stands to reason that the emotions & mental perceptions & all of realty is frequency based. The Universal language is Hz. For us human beings brainwave frequencies are key to our existence. It is possible to generate & control your brainwave states using Brainwave Entrainment tools: This is beneficial for those of us who want to accelerate our meditations, lucid dreaming & OOBE.

Here is a basic rundown of brainwave entrainment info & also FREE TOOLS YOU CAN USE yourself to enter into deep meditative states, help one with lucid dreaming & having OOBE ( Out Of Body Experiences). All the work of Dr. Robert Monroe at The Monroe Institute is based on binaural beat technologies.

*Brainwave Frequencies - These are frequencies associated with various mental states. Using brainwave entrainment, you can coax your brainwaves to a certain frequency, and in doing so, achieve the mental state associated with that frequency.

*Healing" Frequencies - These are frequencies that various parties claim could be used to heal illnesses of different kinds, or stimulate some region of the body (chakras). The medium used to do this varies - some of these parties used devices that generated EM fields which were applied to a precise part of the body, while others used vibration and sound. (I don't have any experience with using EM fields - most of my personal toying about with this stuff uses a sound medium.)

*Natural Phenomena Frequencies - This includes natural frequencies that occur in nature [Schumann's Resonance, for instance], as well as sound tones calculated from the revolution/orbit of the various planets. The sources of these frequencies claimed that they could affect humans in a variety of ways.

There are three types of brainwave entrainment technologies one can use: Binaural Beats, Isochronic Tones & Monaural Beats. The tools & links below below will allow you make & explore brainwave entrainment using Binaural Beats & Isochronic Tones. Both are effective & can be used together to achieve maximum entrainment. The good thing about Isochronic tones is that they can be used in Mp3 format & you don't need headphones where as Binaural Beats DON"T WORK in an Mp3 compressed format & you need to use them with headphones.

According to published research, listening to these beat frequencies can cause the main brainwave frequency to "align" with the beat frequencies through a phenomenon called entrainment. The beat frequencies might result in different states of awareness, including increased relaxation or alertness, lucid dreaming or many other states. The four most familiar brainwave frequencies are:

~ When using Binaural Tones w/Surf in Audacity it's real simple: The first field (Left ) is for generating the sound/pitch of of your tone/beat. The other fields 1-5  (Right ) is the entrainment Hz you want to achieve, i.e. (8hz ) the others inputs are for time durations of the beats. I would suggest to "Ramp" into your desired beat state... because it takes some time for the brain to adjust & follow the frequency beat. I would start off in Beta     i. e. ( 17.5-15.5 hz ) then glide into 8hz. If you don't want to do that just put in your hz # in 1 & enter 0 in all the rest. It really is that simple w/audacity & the results are great. ~ Enjoy!
